This event is to celebrate the success of the June Book Sale and to thank everyone who volunteered to help make it a success, and also to thank the many volunteers who help with activities and programs throughout the year. Meat, drinks, and paper products will be provided. Feel free to bring a side dish or snack to share.
Ryan McCrory is a librarian with almost 25 years of experience in a variety of settings—University of Washington Libraries, Seattle Public Library, Boone Area Library, and Lititz Public Library. He is an active member of Pennsylvania Library Association and a lifetime member of American Library Association. He also serves on the board of Hosting Solutions and Library Consulting, as well as being a member of the Freedom to Read Foundation, Association of Rural and Small Libraries, Public Library Association, and the American Historical Association.
The hallmarks of his approach to leadership are a dedication to the mission; a profoundly curious and flexible nature; and a high degree of forward thinking. As a result, intentional innovation has distinguished his career. Having worked at every level of librarianship, Ryan understands the unique and evolving needs of a library’s staff and community in a diverse service area and appreciates everyone’s contribution to the larger organization.
Spotlight Program “Capture the Season with Color”

Dawn Hoffman, Presenter
Dawn Hoffman has been teaching art in the Millersburg Area School District since 1995. She has several advanced art degrees including an Associate’s of Art in Visual Art and Design from Harrisburg Area Community College, a Bachelor’s of Science in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s of Arts in Art Education from Messiah College (now Messiah University).
In addition to publishing her own set of hand drawn coloring books, she has also illustrated two books, Courageous Cole, written by Steven Klinger and George Changes His Tune, written by John Bowling.
Dawn is an artist, a teacher, a maker, and a lover of all things creative.
Participants will have an opportunity to color pages from Dawn’s books. This program is for all ages!

Where: Elizabethville Area Library, 80 N. Market Street, Elizabethville, Pa. (basement meeting room unless otherwise noted).

The Friends of the Elizabethville Area Library invite library lovers to join them as they plan programs for the library, book sales and the annual raffle/silent auction.

- Friends Book Nook at Shops on Markets (across from the library)
- Donation Cart in the Library
- Book donations: Donations may be dropped off at the library circulation desk.
- No textbooks or encyclopedias.
- Other Friends activities:
- Provide refreshments and support for the Lively Minds Series
- Sponsor Author on the Road with Upper Dauphin and Halifax Middle Schools to provide an author visit to the schools
- Purchase refreshments, craft materials and supplies for juvenile programs as requested
- Sponsor the annual library children’s Christmas program
- Sponsor Adult programs
- Assist the library with purchasing equipment and new technologies
- Support community programs and children’s learning experiences
