Curb or Shelf—Getting Your Books is Now a Bit Easier

Wednesday June 24th, 2020

Now that Dauphin County has entered the “green” phase, we’re delighted to welcome you back for up to an hour of browsing at our open locations, including the just added Northern Dauphin Library in Lykens. Some meeting room space will also be available, though we’re not accepting reservations for birthday parties, showers and similar events.

It will be great to see you again and I hope you will continue to work with us on safety measures as we slowly expand services for you. Your wellbeing and that of our library staff is top priority. To keep everyone safe, we ask that you wear a mask, observe guidelines for social distancing, and make regular use of the hand sanitizer available at all locations.

Curbside pickup and Book Advisor services remain available. Please continue to use that option for personalized book selection, too.

We’re on a slow roll toward what we all hope will be a more normal existence. Maintaining safety precautions means that your service might be a bit slower, too. Returned items are quarantined for three days, following guidelines that were recently validated by a scientific study. This means an item you returned to us won’t show up as returned until it’s safely out of quarantine. Fear not, we are not charging overdue fines at this time. If you ever have a question, please just give us a call. We love hearing from you.

Thank you for being patient, kind and caring. You are our library family and we value each and every one of you.

Karen Cullings, Executive Director
