One Book Every Young Child

Pennsylvania’s One Book, Every Young Child 2017 selection is Daniel Finds a Poem by Micha Archer. Daniel wants to participate in the Poetry in the Park event, but first he asks his animal friends for help about what they think a poem is.

Join us for our Daniel Finds a Poem program!
Saturday, April 22, 2017
10:30 – 11:30 am
East Shore Area Library

Explore poetry and nature, water and sand, and meet some animals with Zoo America!
Families who attend will receive a free book to keep.
This program is designed for ages 3 to 6, but families with children of all ages are welcome.
Head over to our registration page or call your library to let us know you’re coming.

Libraries will have multiple copies of the book for checkout. And of special interest to our partners in early childhood education, there is an activity-filled Traveling Trunk which may be borrowed from The Library!

One Book, Every Young Child is a collaboration of the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, The Carnegie Science Center, Pennsylvania Library Association, Pennsylvania Center for the Book, Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children, Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children, and The Pennsylvania Child Care Association. This project is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education through the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.
