The Library welcomes you to the 2016 Summer Reading Club! There are great prizes and programs this summer that will keep you and your child excited about reading.

Summer Reading Club programming begins!
Members of the Kids Reading Club (ages birth through 12) can begin to submit the first half of their reading logs and pick up their Explore Your Community bag prize!
Members of the Kids Reading Club (ages birth through 12) can begin to submit the second half of their reading logs and pick up their final prizes.Members of the Teen Reading Club (ages 13 through 17) can submit their completed reading logs for their final prizes.
10 AM to 2 PM Summer Reading Fun Festival at Fort Hunter for program, Online Adventure, and Club Card finishers.
Last day of the 2016 Summer Reading Club.All reading logs must be submitted to be eligible for final prizes and prize drawings.
Read or be read to for ten hours over the summer. Beginning July 1, submit the first half of your reading log (at the 5 hour mark) to receive an Explore Your Community Bag prize. Beginning August 1, submit the second half for your prize book, completion certificate, and be entered to win a Kindle Fire Kids Edition.
Bring your Club Card to The Library to be stamped at any Summer Reading Club program, or get it stamped whenever you check out a book. One stamp per day, please! After six stamps, use your completed Club Card to attend the Summer Reading Fun Festival!
Adventurers can run the Online Adventure: DCLS Decathlon. Check out some cool websites to answer 10 crazy questions, and lead library director, Opus Rex, on an athletic adventure through Dauphin County. Print off your DCLS Decathlon certificate when you’ve completed the adventure to attend the Summer Reading Fun Festival!

(Beginning July 1) Mid-way Prize:
Explore Your Community Bag, including coupons and tickets to area businesses and attractions. Bring your reading log showing 5 completed hours of reading to claim your Explore Your Community Bag while supplies last.
(Beginning August 1) Final Prizes:
Free book and certificate for returned reading logs showing 10 completed hours of reading. Bring your certificate to use as your ticket to the Summer Reading Fun Festival at Fort Hunter on August 27 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Turn in reading logs showing 10 completed hours of reading for a chance to win a Kindle Fire Kids Edition! Winners will be notified by September 12.
