Serving our students | All Ready Access and Tutor.com

Your support provides tangible benefits to students as they learn and grow!

Life for students is as busy as ever, and things are just as tough for parents, but The Library is here to help! Students in most school districts throughout Dauphin County are automatically enrolled with All Ready Access. This program makes finding the tools to finish student projects as easy as logging on to dcls.org. We call this program All Ready Access because all students need is a student ID to access thousands of eBooks, journals, audiobooks, databases, and newspapers to help with any project.

For students and parents that need some specific subject help, The Library now offers Tutor.com, which is free for Library members in every community in the county. Tutor.com fits with The Library’s mission of providing equal access for all, regardless of income. As one 10th grade student wrote on Tutor.com, “No one has been able to explain trigonometric functions so that I can understand them before now. This service is really helpful for me because my family can’t afford a tutor to help me. Thank you. :)”

The Library’s access to Tutor.com was made possible through Pennsylvania Department of Education County Coordination Aid funding. The funds are provided for coordinated library services throughout individual counties, allowed Dauphin County Library System, Hershey Public Library, and Middletown Public Library to purchase the use of Tutor.com for every Dauphin County resident. To access Tutor.com, visit dcls.org and click “On-demand tutoring.” Users must have Dauphin County Library System card, which is free and easy to get. If you need a card, sign up at dcls.org/getcard.
