HARRISBURG, Pa. — Bring a Fitbit or other favorite pedometer and join The Library for Wednesday Walks, in both up and down-county service areas. Become exercise buddies on walks distanced at about 1.5 miles. Each week a different member of the community will lead the way. Explore the town, strike up conversation and get a little exercise. No registration required. These events are geared towards people of all ages. Families should bring a signed activity waiver form that can be downloaded and printed at dcls.org/src. Walks are to be held at the following locations: 

 

Down-County Wednesday Walks (Walks to begin at 6:30 pm) 

June 15        —      Meet at Madeline L. Olewine Memorial Library

June 22        —      Meet at Madeline L. Olewine Memorial Library

June 29        —       Meet on City Island at the Walnut Street Bridge

July 6           —      Meet on City Island at the Walnut Street Bridge

July 13         —      Meet on City Island at the Walnut Street Bridge

July 20         —      Meet at Madeline L. Olewine Memorial Library

July 27         —      Meet at Madeline L. Olewine Memorial Library

August 3     —      Meet on City Island at the Walnut Street Bridge

August 10   —      Meet on City Island at the Walnut Street Bridge

August 17   —      Meet on City Island at the Walnut Street Bridge

 

Up-County Wednesday Walks (Walks to begin at 7:00 pm) 

June 22        —      Meet at Elizabethville Area Library

July 13         —      Meet at Northern Dauphin Library

August 17   —      Meet at Johnson Memorial Library

 

Join the 2016 Summer Reading Club celebration, through August 31, by registering and logging your reading and by picking up a Summer Reading Club Guide and Summer Reading Club Card at your local Dauphin County Library System library.
