    POWER Library’s E-Resources offer 24/7 access to thousands of full-text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, Pennsylvania job resources, plus photographs, pictures, maps, and reference materials for people of all ages. POWER Library is a statewide service provided by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Pennsylvania Department of Education, and is hosted by HSLC.

    Provides full runs and portions of runs of many current and older/historic Pennsylvania newspapers, some from as far back as the 1700s up to the 2000s. Enjoy viewing a newspaper as it originally looked, since each page is fully scanned. 

  • Black Life in America

    Provides “comprehensive coverage of the African American experience from earliest times to today.  Sourced from nearly 20,000 American and global newspapers from 1704 to the present, including over 400 African American newspapers.”
