Are you looking for something different to read? Have you read all the current best sellers? Adult readers (ages 18 and up) can join The Library’s 2016 Winter Reading Club: Everything Old is New Again! for an opportunity to rediscover books you loved. Why not try one of your favorite author’s earlier books or pick up a book on turning trash to treasures? Reading Club participants who return a paper log of 8 books, videos, DVD’s, audio books or e-books they have completed, starting January 2, will receive a free paperback book beginning March 1. Reading logs can be turned in until March 31 to receive a prize and be entered into the grand prize drawing for a Kindle. To be eligible for the grand prize, the winners must be registered for the Winter Reading Club. A Kindle will be given away at each of our 8 libraries. The Kindle prize is sponsored by Fulton Bank.
Everyone who registers for Winter Reading Club is invited to attend an exclusive Author Video Visit on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Registrants will receive an email containing the name of the author as well as other program information. Sponsored by the Dauphin County Library System and Fulton bank, the Winter Reading Club: Everything Old is New Again! is free. For more information call Holly Etzweiler at 232-7286 x104.
Register online or pick up a paper registration form and reading log at any library starting January 2, 2016. The program ends March 31, 2016.
You must register online or return a completed registration form to any Library location to participate in the Winter Reading Club, the programs, and be eligible for prizes.
Complete at least 8 books or other items to earn a bestselling paperback book. You will also receive a ticket to our author event as well as a choice of a screen cleaner or recycled notebook for registering. When you turn in your completed log, you will be entered into the Kindle grand prize drawings. Every reading log returned is a chance to win the Kindle.
Paperback books can be claimed between March 1 and March 31. The Kindle winners will be selected the first week of April. The grand prize winners must be 18 years or older.
Each library will be hosting various programs related to the theme. Board games, recycled crafts, bingo and movies are just a few. Click here for program locations and dates.
