HARRISBURG, Pa.— Women and girls are bombarded with message that they must fit a certain beauty standard to be “worthy” of success and happiness. Join The Library as we counter the negativity with a summer series aiming to help women build a positive relationship with their bodies, the food they eat, and the way their bodies move.

At Mindful and Intuitive Eating, you’ll learn how to start healing your relationship with food. Registered dietitian Danielle Parris will guide an exploration into mindful and intuitive eating. Intuitive eating is a journey that focuses on happiness and health rather than achieving a specific number on the scale. Attendees will learn a few important nutrition concepts, practice mindful eating, and review the steps to becoming an intuitive eater.

East Shore Area Library, 4501 Ethel St, Harrisburg

These programs are designed for adults and older teens, ages 16 and older. Space is limited to allow for a more personalized learning experience.
