HARRISBURG, Pa.— Join us at the East Shore Area Library, 4501 Ethel St, Harrisburg, for two unique “Libraries Rock” concerts. One features Gus Person, a local bagpiper and the other, Gladius, a Flamenco Guitarist from Georgia.
On July 8 at 1:00 pm, local bagpiper, Gus Person, will introduce concert goers to the the Great Highland Bagpipe and the Smallpipes. He’ll play some tunes and discuss the history of bagpipes, how they’re constructed and the types of music played on the instrument. He’ll also answer audience questions – come curious!
On July 9 at 6:30 pm, Gladius will perform classic and flamenco-inspired guitar. Inspired by the great composers, Spanish maestros and modern rock, Gladius creates an unorthodox fusion and pushes the boundaries of his Baroque-Ethnic-Metal fusion.
Both concerts are designed for an all ages audience. Registration is not required. For more information, call (717) 652-9380 or visit dcls.org/specialevents.
