Dauphin County Library System: Open for Discovery!
  • Forum Posting

Here is a step-by-step guide to posting on our online forums, including submitting book reviews. You can click on any of the images to make them larger.

    1. Log into your DCLS website account using the email address and password you chose when registering. Passwords are case sensitive and email addresses need to be properly formatted in the "name@domain.extension" format. If you have not previously registered on the site, you will need to register before submitting a post to the forum. For more information on registering on the DCLS website or retrieving a lost password, click here.

This three-step process can be seen below. The first image shows what the site looks like when you are not logged-in. The second image shows a filled-in login screen. The third image shows what the site looks like when you are properly logged-in.

     2. Visit the Book Reviews / Book Club page. You will see three possible areas where you can post: adult, teen and children. Click the link of the age-group that most closely resembles the book you are reviewing. If unsure of the reading level, choose the category where you are most comfortable posting about that book.

    • Click the red button labeled "New Topic" to create a new post. This will start a "thread" where you and others can discuss a particular book. Fill out the subject (tile) and message (review). Click "Post" to submit the review.

    • Click the name of a topic that you have previously created. This will allow you to review your post, read other comments made on that topic, if any. It will also allow you to edit or delete your post. You can also reply to your own post.

    • Click the name of a topic that someone else has created. This will allow you to read that person's post and, if desired, make a comment about that post.
