2022 Winter Program Updates

Due to the increased cases of COVID-19 and the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, The Library is moving its previously scheduled in-person programs to virtual programs or rescheduling to a later date. See a complete list of program changes below.

Stepping Stones to Milestones Programs 

Below is the complete schedule for the Winter sessions of these programs, some have been moved to virtual access and some new dates and times have been added for parents’ convenience. Registration is required. Register for Stepping Stones Programs by visiting dcls.org/kidsprograms

New Programs for our School-Aged Friends 

 

Math BINGO – new to our lineup! 

For ages 7 – 12  

Wednesday, January 26 at 4:15 on Zoom 

Join us virtually for BINGO! Focusing on the M in STEM, we’ll use simple equations to determine which numbers are being called. Brush off those addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills and let’s PLAY! Winners will be able to pick up fun prizes at their library of choice.

Random Acts of Kindness – new to our lineup! 

For ages 7 – 12 

Wednesday, February 23 at 4:15 on Zoom 

In challenging times, sometimes a bit of kindness can go a long way! We’ll provide materials for card making and while we read and talk about intergenerational friendship and kindness. Participants will create cards that they can return to The Library and have shared with residents in a local care facility!
