Future Giving
Planned gifts to charitable organizations like the Dauphin County Library System can allow you to create a legacy within the community while also considering your own personal financial objectives. Depending on your needs and circumstances, planned gifts can offer tax benefits and create an income flow for the rest of your life. For more information about planned giving, contact the DCLS Community Relations Director Karen Cullings at 717.234.4961 ext. 104 or by email at kcullings@dcls.org

Bequests
Remembering DCLS in your will or living trust is a popular way to invest in library service for the future. See Sample Bequest Language below for an idea of what to include in your will or trust.

Retirement Plans
Often, donating some or all of the assets from your IRA, 401 (k), or other qualified retirement plan is a good choice for giving. You can make gifts during your lifetime or name DCLS as a beneficiary on your plan.

“My daughter loves visiting the library and attending reading and music programs. My wife and I use the library for research that the Internet can’t match.”
