DCLS welcomes your gift of new or gently used books, recorded books, DVDs and other materials. These items are considered for addition to the DCLS collection or placed in a Friends of the Library Book Sale.

To limit the costs for DCLS of disposing of items not in good condition, these types of gifts must meet certain guidelines. To make a gift of books or other items, please review the guidelines and fill out the Thank You card form. Bring the form and the items you wish to donate to the library of your choice. If you are donating more than five items, please call the library first to make certain they are currently accepting donations. Due to storage constraints, the libraries at times cannot accept boxes of books and large donations of this type, but should be able to refer you to a library currently able to take the donation or suggest an alternative beneficiary for your gift.
